- Include enough vitamin A in your diet (carrot, papaya, eggs)
- Soak a cotton pad in rose water to which 3 – 4 drops of castor oil is mixed. These soaked pads should be kept on eyelids for 15 – 20 mins. Slowly massage them around eyes. This can be used as an effective remedy for eye burns.
- Dip a cotton ball in cold black tea and keep it on eyelids and relax.
- Keep the eyelids moist. Looking at screens without blinking reduces moisture. Wash eyes often.
If you are a computer professional or if your job includes hours in front of computer make sure that you exercise your eyes at frequent intervals. Use an anti glare screen for your monitor.

Soak 4 – 5 almonds overnight. Take the almonds next morning after peeling them. Repeating this for 2o days will certainly help.
Take half teaspoon almond oil and mix it with a few drops of honey. Apply it gently on your eyes before bedtime. Repeat this for a week
Tips to Reduce Puffy Eyes
- Slice a raw potato and slowly massage around your eyes.
- Dip a cotton pad in chilled milk and keep it on eyes for about 10 mins before going to bed.

- Make it a habit to take a capsule of cod liver every day. it helps greatly in strengthening eyes and thus avoiding dark circles
